Tim Schaffer joined RED Brokerage during the summer of 2005 as director of its office division. Tim has earned a reputation as a problem solver during his 27-year tenure in the commercial real estate business. He was recognized by the Board of Realtors as the city's top producer, in addition to being the recipient of the Board of Realtors Home Run Award for the city's largest real estate transaction. Schaffer was formerly with NAI Cohen-Esrey Real Estate Services Inc. and its predecessor, Cohen & Co. for more than 20 years, serving as a senior vice president, principal, and director of business development for the company.

One of Tim's greatest strengths is his ability to marshal the company's resources and expertise to find cost-effective solutions that create long-term value for his clients. Tim's experience in leading many of the area's recent large tenant relocations provides valuable insight to his developer and landlord clients who are either developing new projects or re-positioning or rehabbing existing properties.

Although Tim's focus is representing landlords and positioning and repositioning properties, he has gained significant experience through his ongoing long-term relationships with Fortune 500 companies such as Merrill Lynch, Pierce Fenner, TEVA Pharmaceuticals, as well as many locally based national organizations such as The American Academy of Family Physicians, Waddell & Reed, The Kansas City Business Journal, Lockton Insurance, and Polsinelli Shughart.

Focusing on determining his client's expectations and developing plans to exceed them through well-researched comprehensive solutions is the key to Tim's success. His result-oriented approach often requires the support of economic development organizations and the assembly and orchestration of highly skilled teams of professionals covering legal, financial, architectural, and construction disciplines.

Tim has served on the board of the Metropolitan Board of Realtors, the Johnson County Board of Realtors Commercial Investment Division and has been recognized by the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors. He has also served on the Kansas City, MO Board of Zoning, which exemplifies his ongoing commitment to the revitalization of Downtown Kansas City. He currently serves as on the board of directors for The American Red Cross and The National Association of Industrial and Office Properties.
